The current setup requires manual assignment of tasks and subtasks, which can lead to overlooked tasks if they remain unassigned. This issue is exacerbated by the fact that tasks created via mobile apps or extensions also require manual assignment. Users seek a streamlined process whereby tasks they create are automatically assigned to themselves by default, reducing the risk of tasks slipping through the cracks and enhancing overall task management efficiency.

  • Global Auto-Assignment on Task Creation:
    Implement a feature where every task or subtask created by a user in any platform (web, mobile, API) is automatically assigned to the creator. This should apply universally across all spaces, ensuring no tasks remain unassigned, which is particularly helpful for solo users.
  • Extension Settings for Individual Preference:
    Allow users to configure settings within the extension to toggle the automatic assignment feature on or off, accommodating both solo users and those who occasionally collaborate and don't want every task auto-assigned.
