This often leads to missed communications, as important updates or replies remain hidden unless manually expanded. Users have expressed a strong preference for a more visible and accessible way to view comment threads, suggesting options for customization similar to other user settings in ClickUp.

  • Visibility enhancements for threaded replies:
    Improve the visual indicators for threaded comments that have unviewed replies. This could include highlighting, bolding, or changing the color of the comment thread icon to ensure users do not overlook new messages.
  • User-configurable default state for comment threads:
    Allow ClickUp users to set the default state (collapsed or expanded) of threaded comments in tasks. This setting should be adjustable at the user level, enabling individual preferences for easier task management.
  • Easier navigation to threaded comments from notifications:
    Enhance notification links so that when a user clicks on a comment notification, they are taken directly to the expanded thread, preventing any confusion or missed responses.
