ClickUp users frequently express the need for enhanced task management flexibility, particularly concerning the ability to assign multiple, distinct closure statuses to tasks. Currently, tasks can only be marked 'Closed' or 'Done', but these options do not adequately describe the various reasons a task might be closed, such as 'Cancelled', 'Rejected', or 'Completed'. This limitation makes it difficult for users to efficiently track and analyze task outcomes, impacting their ability to conduct detailed performance or progress reviews and to tailor workflows to specific needs.

    Ensure that these custom statuses integrate seamlessly with ClickUp’s dashboard and reporting tools, allowing users to generate insights based on the new status categories.
  • API Access for Custom Statuses:
    Ensure that the custom statuses are accessible through ClickUp's API, allowing for integration with third-party tools and enabling automated workflows that incorporate these new statuses.
  • Multiple Closed Status Configuration:
    Allow users to create and name multiple closed statuses via the extension. This would enable more accurate tracking and filtering of tasks based on their specific closure type, such as 'Cancelled', 'Rejected', or 'Completed'.
  • Visibility Controls for Custom Statuses:
    Provide visibility controls for each custom status so that users can set whether tasks with these statuses appear in main task views or are hidden by default.
