Managing project timelines becomes challenging when clients delay decisions, leading to potential miscommunication and inefficiencies in resource allocation. Hive users often face the issue of projects appearing as 'late' due to external delays, causing unnecessary adjustments in their schedules. This extension aims to address these challenges by providing visual indicators for projects on hold.

  • Flag for Tentative Projects:
    Include a flagging mechanism for projects that are not officially on hold but are tentative due (for example, to client delays). This feature helps in signaling uncertain project timelines to teams, facilitating better planning and communication among multiple project managers handling different clients.
  • Ghost Appearance for On-hold Projects:
    Introduce a visual alteration (such as a ghost-like appearance or a distinct color) for projects that are on hold. This visual cue will help differentiate these projects from active tasks, making it clear that the project timeline is tentatively paused.
  • Exclude On-hold Projects from Resource Allocation:
    Ensure that tasks within projects marked as on hold do not appear in the resource planning tools. This will prevent them from being counted in resource allocation, helping project managers effectively plan their available resources without the interference of stalled projects.
