Workspace Visibility Extension

Hive users are looking for a way to enhance visibility across projects within their workspace. Currently, only admins hold the ability to view all projects they aren't added to, but a seen interest has emerged for enabling this for all users, not just granting them access, but allowing visibility. This would address the pain points of coordination and transparency within teams, making it easier for everyone to stay updated on project statuses without the need for full access rights, thus maintaining controlled permissions while enhancing workflow awareness.

🗒️ Feature Requests

  • Uniform Visibility:
    The extension must provide a feature where, similar to the existing admin-level feature, all Hive users within the workspace can view all projects. This mimics the admin ability to see projects without altering existing access controls.
  • Configurable by Admins:
    Administrators should have the ability to activate or deactivate this extended visibility. It should be flexible to turn on or off from the admin control settings, ensuring that this feature is adaptable to various workflow policies.
  • Privacy and Access Settings Retention:
    While granting visibility, the extension must ensure that the current privacy and access settings are not compromised. Users can view but must not edit unless explicitly granted rights -- respecting the existing security protocols.
